“…I have firsthand experiences of educational inequities.” – Yazmin

Meet Yazmin Guevara Alvarez,

...the founder behind it all.

Born in El Salvador and raised in Chelsea, Massachusetts, I bring both lived experience and professional expertise to my work in education. As an immigrant and first-generation college graduate, I’ve seen—and experienced—the educational inequities that many families face, particularly those from underrepresented communities.

"There is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about."

– Margaret J. Wheatley

A mother of children receiving special education services.

A seasoned educator with over 10 years of experience in public schools.

A bilingual advocate fluent in Spanish and English.

A proud Latina committed to equity and access in education.

While pursuing my Master’s degree in Severe Disabilities from Lesley University, I had the opportunity to advocate for more than 60 families navigating complex special education systems. That experience deepened my resolve to be a voice for those who often go unheard.

Whether I’m supporting individual families through one on one coaching or leading professional development at the school and district levels, my mission remains the same:

To break systemic barriers and amplify the voices of families—especially those from immigrant and marginalized backgrounds.
